2009 Tabletops Competitors

The Midwest Home Show is pleased to partner with IFDA for the 2009 Holiday Tabletop Competition.  Several IFDA members are competing for the top prize!  Vote for your favorite and get ideas on how to make your holiday and special occasion table settings more festive!

Christmas Season: Tranquil Evening
Michelle Anderson, Creative Lighting
Utilizing whites/silvers/turquoises that reflect the tranquility and serenity of Christmastime.  An evening of joyful celebration awaits all who gather.  A sense of whimsy to lift your spirit in this splendid season!

Heirloom
Zachary G. Stone, Alexandria Tech Student
Simply elegant.  An old world charm with some modern elements with both the new and old combining together in a seamless way.  With slate blues, grays, whites, silver and crystal.

Giving Thanks Up North
Jeralyn Victoria Mohr, Full Nest Incorporated
This table celebrates local resources, vintage goods and incorporates the local Dakota language.  Each place setting has a hand-made recipe journal as a take-away gift to fill with foods, traditions and memories.  See if you can spot the pheasant tails, repurposed vintage bracelets, all three birds and the Dakota-English translations!

Chimes of the Champagne Glasses
Alyssa Ploszay
An elegant and modern twist to the head table.

Halloween – A Haunted Gathering
Leah Wothe & Candy Vogel, CanLe Interiors
Come and sit down to this chilling dinner, the Witch Wilhemia is expecting you.  Dare to dine at her lavish table and drink her wine without succumbing to her haunting powers.  Weary folk beware not to fall under the spell of this dark gathering and become the main course.

Woodland Christmas
Dianna Sether, KDR Designer Showrooms
This inviting woodland wonderland is a symphony of gold, silver and white with a mix of winter greens, pinecones, gilded nuts, ornaments and wonderful surprises for each guest.  It is one that will delight your family and friends.

A Golden Autumn
Patti Anderson, A Touch of Style, LLC
Entertaining in the Fall with the beautiful colors of autumn; coppers, browns and glistening golds.
